I'm an adult player who started playing seriously at age 35 when I began to learn the finer points of the game so that I could teach my kids ''the right way.'' At the time I had no idea how vast the game of chess really is (more accurately, how vast the human approach to mastering the game). In the process of learning enough to successfully coach my children, I have fallen in love with the game and have set a goal for myself to achieve master strength. On this web site I will share things that I have found helpful in mine and my kids' chess journeys. (Yeah, I know. Probably every tournament player who reads this statement chuckles. Very few people acheive master strength, especially if thay start later in life. But hey, if you're gonna set a goal, why not aim high?)
